How I Healed My Sexual Assault Trauma with PTSD using Energy Healing

I have been studying and using energy healing for about 15 years. I use it in my practice to help others effectively release trauma & heal emotional and physical issues regularly.

I thought I would share a little about me and how I became an energy healer using some of the most comprehensive methods of energy healing available in the World today.

I am not what you would call a “realist”, the word “spiritualist” comes to mind, although I giggle, because I am not sure that is a real word (I have been known for making up words all my life). I don’t look at the World and take it at face value. I feel something deeper, and have always experienced the World by “feeling” it rather than observing.

I have always felt for people and animals and all of life differently than those I was surrounded by and was told I was “too sensitive”. So, I took that as a bad thing, and tried to be harder, which is against my general nature and did not work for me. I have also always been highly intuitive and as far back as I can recall I have been a healer of hearts, always helping others feel better wherever I went. I can’t count how many times others told me they just felt better being around me. But, in many cases I would take in others energy & trauma in order to help them heal and feel better, and it was toxic for me (which I didn’t realize until I was an adult).

I experienced sexual trauma as a child around age 6-8, and repeatedly again as a teen and to compact it, I was also raised in a home with a parent who suffered with severe PTSD, deep depression, mood swings, many negative emotions, self sabotage, rage & anger issues along with serious health (2nd hand PTSD). We moved frequently and barely had enough money for necessities most of the time.

Even though it was natural for me to be a healer, I didn’t realize that it was necessary & healthier for me to heal and become stronger so that I could help others in the best way possible and not receive their emotional wounds. I would have to address my own heavy traumas that needed healing and were being ignored. I feel that experiencing some of the things that have occurred in my life, have allowed me to be an even better healer that I might have been otherwise, with Unconditional Love and acceptance. My heart is open to helping others heal without judgement and my intention is to help others feel safe while working together.

I actually found energy healing while I was powerfully asking the Universe for something that I could use to help someone in my life that is very close to me, in order to help them find inner peace and recover from severe PTSD and depression and also lead them to heal from some severe health issues. I also ended up finding that I, too needed it much more than I realized or was willing to acknowledge.”

Eventually, I recognized that if you ignore your own healing long enough, it keeps rearing its ugly head and in time, you just can’t ignore what is going on, physical symptoms, deep depression, self worth issues, bouts of crying days at a time, hiding so no one would see or know what I was experiencing, along with severe self loathing and self destructive patterns that follow you, wondering why you are even here. At some point, you have to address the demons and begin your own self healing.

For me, it was a bit of a scary process when I began to shine a light on the things that broke me down, the things I allowed to torture me for so long. I would have to share these things that I never talked about before with some of the people closest to me in my life. What if they didn’t understand? What if they looked at me differently? What if they walked away when they found out my story and what I experienced that made me who I am? What if they responded un-caring and disregarded my feelings and fears?

I also recognized that it was scary to see myself as healed and self empowered, letting go of being a “victim”. Who would I be without all this baggage and fear? I had been this way most of my life. Some of my old patters actually benefited me in some way up til that point. Who would I be without all this self hatred weighing me down? Could I actually be happy, is there such a thing? Could I actually heal for real? What would others think if I was not who they were used to me being? Am I strong enough to speak up for myself instead of cowering out of fear of “upsetting the apple cart”? At different times over the years, when I actually tried to stand up for myself and speak my truth, I have been called a bitch, because I was not giving in to what made others happy but instead made me scared, unsafe, feel terror, miserable or really uncomfortable. I didn’t know how to say “no” to others or even myself. I found through my own self healing that I believed deep down that I deserved to suffer and deserved to be sick.

It was all to dark, and I pleaded with the Universe for healing. It was either I did the work, or I wouldn’t want to live like this any longer. The pain was not worth it.

Using the Comprehensive Energy Healing that I learned, I began peeling back layers of trauma and releasing sorrow, guilt, shame, self hatred, terror and fear. I began to address the beliefs that I was unworthy, I deserved to suffer, that others are unsafe and harm me. I began to identify and release unconscious intentions to stay sick. I began healing specific trauma fields.

I began to feel the deep depression and despair beginning to lift. I began to feel hope. I began actually liking “me” and who I was despite what others might think about me. I began taking care of myself differently, realizing that I am worth taking time for. I am worth honoring “me”. I began peeling back the layers of lies that were covering up my authentic. In order to keep peace and avoid confrontation, I had been who everyone else expected me to be or wanted me to be in many cases.

At first, it was difficult to be different around certain people who were close to me, as I began behaving differently, with more self awareness and responding differently to their behavior. I was met with opposition sometimes and found that I had to explain my behavior to them when I didn’t react the way they wanted me to, like I might have in the past. Deep inside, I didn’t feel that I owed anyone an explanation. I had the right to be stronger, to heal, to be authentic and not just allow others to harm me. I found that I had many triggers.

Through my never ending journey into my authentic self, I began having moments of self appreciation and Joy. Those moments lasted longer and I began desiring more and more happiness. It was addicting actually! I realized this was better than all the suffering. I began to realize that it was OK to heal. I began realizing that I was worth it. I began realizing that if others didn’t understand or walked away, I would be OK, because I deserve to live happy. I now choose to have people close to me that support my healing and I deserve that.

I also experienced what you would call “Universal Love” for everyone and everything which has completely shifted my experience in the World and I experience more. I have experienced instant “miracle” healing which has allowed me to recognize that literally anything is possible without exception. I don’t view the World or Universe at “face value”. I recognize there is something much deeper that our eyes don’t see. Much more than we allow our physical senses to experience in this physical realm we call Earth.

It is my intention to help others in their own self healing journey through sharing this Comprehensive Energy Healing that has been so powerful in my life and share other methods I have picked up along the way to find more inner peace and experience deeper spiritual connection and Universal Love.

Energy Healing & Types of Trauma

There are 3 main categories that a trauma might fall into:

  1. Acute trauma results from a single incident.
  2. Chronic trauma is repeated and prolonged such as domestic violence or abuse.
  3. Complex trauma is exposure to varied and multiple traumatic events, often of an invasive, interpersonal nature.

It is important to remember that any type of trauma can occur to humans or animals and Comprehensive Energy Healing can be beneficial for all to help relieve symptoms + suffering.

Acute Trauma

Acute Trauma normally results from a single incident such as death, robbery/mugging, an accident, natural disaster, a specific sexual assault, car accident, serious injury (dog bite), surgery trauma, witnessing violent event, or experiencing something that threatens a persons emotional or physical safety. It can even be a portrayed thought about an event in the future.

Experiencing Acute Trauma can leave one with feeling of intense fear, horror, or helplessness. This can be considered a form of PTSD, and is referred to as Acute Stress Disorder (ASD).

A person who has experienced acute trauma may display other signs + symptoms after the event such as:

  • Panic or extreme anxiety
  • Depression
  • Confusion or irritation
  • Dissociation/feeling disconnected from self + surroundings
  • Interrupted sleep patterns
  • Suspicious behavior
  • Lack of self-care
  • Loss of focus/production at work or school

Chronic Trauma

Chronic Trauma normally results from repeated incidence of trauma, whether physical or emotional such as domestic violence, sexual trauma, , bullying, serious illness (ex: cancer or other long lasting disease), etc.

PTSD is normally present and manifests symptoms in behavior & thought patterns which can be long term if not addressed.

As with Acute trauma, the resulting symptoms can be the same and additional symptoms may occur.

Complex Trauma

Complex trauma can be present with some similar issues as Chronic Trauma and can result from scenarios such as war trauma (refugee/terrorism, soldiers continually being deployed to war zones ), domestic violence including severe physical + emotional abuse such as sexual assault, physical abuse and verbal abuse.

One source describes Complex Trauma as repetitive, prolonged and cumulative and in many cases involving an interpersonal relationship involving direct harm, exploitation, and maltreatment including neglect, abandonment, or antipathy. Complex Trauma can occur at any age from childhood to senior. In many cases it can occur for a person who is disempowered such as child, a person with dependence issues, someone with a disability or a specific age.

As with Acute trauma, the resulting symptoms can be the same and additional symptoms may occur.

In most cases Complex Trauma results in PTSD symptoms and repeated abusive situations. In my experience, identifying and releasing/healing root cause issues can be very beneficial in complete healing and avoiding future abusive scenarios.

Any kind of trauma can have long term effects (PTSD) and each individual is different in the way they react. Sometimes a trauma is hidden in order to protect a person and there is no “conscious” memory. Sometimes the memory can become conscious later in life with a specific trigger and in some cases never consciously remembered. In any case, it does not make the trauma less severe or have less impact on a person/animals life. If you have experienced a severe trauma and are experiencing severe side effects such as contemplating suicide, I encourage you to seek medical assistance immediately.

My personal experience with childhood sexual trauma compounded by severe second hand PTSD reveals this profoundly. It can affect your life without consciously recognizing why you react the way you do to certain stimuli or triggers. You may have an uneasy “feeling” about something or someone and you just don’t know why. You might witness something on TV and you have a severe reaction to it compared to others. You might even just have a feeling that something “happened” to you but you can’t quite put your finger on it. This was my experience. Until I consciously had a flashback and was able to put all the pieces together and finally begin healing the specifics of the events.

The amazing benefit of the method of Comprehensive Energy Healing I personally use in my life and in my practice, is that you don’t have to repeatedly “relive” the trauma in order to release it for self healing.

And, if the trauma is of a personal nature such as sexual trauma or abuse, you can just let me know that you would like to work on a specific trauma event or series of traumas and the Energy Healing still works just as profoundly. I have worked with women who were too embarrassed or upset to talk about the sexual trauma they experienced, and the healing relief was amazing.

In my own experience, certain Chronic/Complex traumas can result in many lasting side effects in addition to the ones described above. There can also be serious self worth issues, self abusive behavior, self loathing, self hatred, severe depression, OCD behavior, addiction (alcohol, drugs, sex, food, etc.), nervous tics, severe need to be in control at all times, lack of financial income, not taking care of self, denial, fear of leaving the house & fear of large crowds, need to be in a a small safe place or room, unexplained and excessive anger & rage patterns, fear of loud noise or sudden movement, fear of facing away from doors (must sit against the wall in order to have full view of surroundings), fear of being approached from behind, severe reaction to certain situations that can’t be justified or explained (others react much less harshly) and more, being jumpy or erratic and so much more.

I have successfully helped others (people + animals) release the upset of specific traumas or long term traumas with tremendous benefit.

Some issues I have been highly successful in helping myself + others release are sexual trauma (rape), mugging, relationship break up + abusive and controlling behavior and unfaithfulness among others.

I also place a focus on increasing self worth + self Love and releasing the behaviors that would cause future abusive behaviors.

I enjoy beginning my day each morning by listening to inspirational information such as Abraham Hicks or something similar.

This mornings’ message is the quote above. It is something that really resonated and felt good as I heard it.

As an energy healer, one way that I use the work I do to the highest benefit, is I use some of the things I hear from Abraham to create a field for healing and specifically raising consciousness and manifesting.

I find this to be highly beneficial and can create profound healing in many areas. Instead of just focusing on something you want to “be over” as I learned over 15 years ago when I began energy healing. At that time, in order to create a healing “field”, you would use a phrase such as, “I want to be over this….(fill in the blank)”. It has since been discovered that creating a positive intention was just as effective and highly beneficial in creating and manifesting healing and change as it was to create a field of something that you wanted to “be over”.

One of my favorite ways to help others in their healing path, is to create very specific positive intentions (for healing & manifesting) as the field. For example, “I am easily receiving over $5000 per month personal income” or “My body is in a state of Optimal Health & Healing” vs. just choosing wording such as, “I want to be over this money poverty” or “I want to be over this headache” or “I want to be over this anger”.

I have found for myself and others that your intention along with specific wording can be very powerful when creating a healing field for something you would like to shift or heal.

You might even try adding it to your yoga practice. Before you begin your yoga practice, use this code as explained below, and move into your yoga practice and see what feels different for you.

Source Appreciation & Gratitude Meditation code

You might try sitting or lying down (whichever is more comfortable for your meditation) in a comfortable space that is quiet. Decide how long you intend for your meditation. Anywhere from 5 minutes to 20 minutes can be very beneficial and refreshing. And, if you have the time, and you feel so good while meditating and want to continue, of course you can continue for as long as you feel.

Take a few slow, relaxing deep breaths as you begin. Notice the air fill your lungs and let it out gently & naturally. Now, you can either read the code to yourself or just run your fingers over the entire code (5-10X – or as many times as tests right for you) with the intent of feeling more Appreciation & Gratitude. (* Once you have either read the code or run your finger over it the first time, for all future applications, you can ask your body to release the code into your body, being & consciousness as many times as needed to be the most beneficial for you). Continue taking slow, relaxing deep breaths. Once you have read the code, continue taking slow, deep breaths while focusing on your breathing (make sure not to take such slow breaths that you feel dizzy). Focusing on your breath can be very beneficial so your mind doesn’t wander too much. Sometimes I find it helpful to repeat “I feel deep Source Appreciation & Gratitude” very gently, in my mind, throughout the whole meditation to keep centered as I breathe slowly and deeply. When you would like to end your meditation session, you might try counting yourself out of the meditation to bring you to a fully awake state unless you use this before going to sleep for a peaceful slumber. Counting yourself out of your meditation is helpful to release the sleep dreamy state some people find themselves in after meditation. I usually say to myself softly something like, “At the count of 5, I will be fully awake & feeling fully refreshed and invigorated”. Then, I begin slowly counting to 5, and once I reach 5, I open my eyes, tap my cheeks enough to put some energy into my skin, stretch my arms over my head and from left to right feeling the energy awaken within me, and say, “thank you”.

You came here as an extension of Source to experience this world from your vantage point, a different vantage point from everyone else…to not be bored. How boring would life be of we were all the same? 
Decide to Love yourself in every moment. That doesn’t mean you can’t choose something different in the next moment. But you can Love YOU in this moment, and this moment as you move along your personal path to something you might consider greater or better. But you area still perfect right now in this moment from where you’ve been and where your going.
