Embodying a new envisioned version of yourself starts with clarity. Define who this version is: their values, habits, and mindset. Visualize this persona vividly; imagine how what they wear, how they walk, speak, and interact with the world.
Next, set tangible goals that align with this vision. What small step can you do or be each day to bring the future version you envision of yourself into your current moment. Break down these goals into actionable steps. For example, if your envisioned self is more confident, practice speaking in front of a mirror, or joining groups where you can express yourself.
You may change your schedule based on who you envision yourself to be. Getting up earlier to include a morning workout or meditation time. Setting aside time during the day for additional tasks that your new Self would embody. Create a new evening or bedtime ritual that embodies your new vision of your Self.
Cultivate a positive mindset. Challenge negative beliefs by affirming your capabilities and recognizing past achievements. Surround yourself with supportive individuals who inspire growth.
3 Steps to Change a Belief
Challenge your belief system
- Take a negative thought that holds you back or that you believe about yourself.
2. Ask yourself if this belief is actually fact or something that you hold as a belief. You can even go a step further and ask yourself when this belief began.
In many cases the belief is was created at a young age and it was created outside of yourself (a caregiver or other person when you were young, tv and social media over many years, religion, authority figures, etc.).
3. Create a positive affirmation that is the opposite of the original belief. Something that feels good when you read it or hear it. Creating something too far fetched may feel like a lie and therefore will cause resistance when you read it or recite it. You want this to be easy for your unconscious to believe in order to begin shifting into the new belief. You can create new and more powerful beliefs as you progress through this process repeatedly over time.
Ask yourself what evidence do you have to support this new affirmation or desired belief. Trust the Universe will provide ongoing proof. From a spiritual point of view, it is truth.
Next, incorporate daily rituals that align with this new version of Self. This could include meditation, exercise, or journaling. These practices will reinforce your new identity.
Lastly, be patient and consistent. Transformation is a journey, and every small step taken is a stride toward embodying the person you aspire to be. Embrace the process, and soon, your envisioned self will feel like your reality.
Life is a journey and each of us are in a constant state of growth and change. You will never “be done” until you take your last breath here on Earth. And then, a whole different non-physical journey continues.
We are created with the intent of expansion and growth individually and collectively. We are here to make manifest the God that is within us all through this physical manifestation of being in a human body by being a creator and calling forth that which we desire. You are deeply loved more than you could possible know.
Infinite Blessings, Yvette
